I’m a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a minor in Advertising. I've been a full time designer for 8 years and have had the pleasure to work on projects that allow me to connect with amazing people and organizations. I'm in the design field to bring ideas to life and grow into something that can be put into the world.
I live in St. Louis with my fiancée, one-year-old son, stepdaughter, and our puppy, Caesar. In my spare time, you'll likely find me enjoying nature or geeking out. One of my favorite spots in St. Louis is Forest Park—my go-to for relaxation, connecting with nature, and visits to the museums and zoo. When I’m not out and about, I love playing video games (Nintendo has a special place in my heart) and watching movies (The Lion King and Jurassic Park are my all-time favorites). Recently, I’ve taken up laser cutting as a hobby at a local makerspace.
In 2022, I published a book called Equal by Design. Starting as a thesis project, the book celebrates African American and Black designers throughout history as well as those who are currently working in the field. My goal is to not only change perceptions, but also reveal how Black designers have made important contributions to the industry. In reading Equal by Design, I hope students, teachers, and parents can use this book as a resource. It’s meant to spark curiosity among Black youth and inspire future designers to pursue their passion.
